Staying Organised

In order to become organised you must cultivate healthy habits, which then help you to stay organised. So even if you think you are a very disorganised person, you can learn to be organised. From planning things, jotting things down, to ditching the unnecessary and organising things that matter, you will become an organised person as long as you’re willing to learn and practice.

1.Write Things Down

You will only further complicate your life by trying to contain important dates and reminders in your head. Write down everything: shopping lists, holiday gifts, school tasks and important dates like meetings and birthdays.

2. Make To-do Lists

You should make a goal of creating a to-do list toward the beginning of every day. This will set your priorities for you, keep you focused, and will make you feel accomplished for doing the things you set out to do.

3. Try Not To Procrastinate

The longer you wait to do something, the more difficult it will be to get it done. If you want your life to be less stressful and less demanding, then organise as soon as you can. Putting in the effort to get things done as soon as possible will lift the weight off of you from doing it later.

4. Break up Big Tasks

Sometimes when we come across a big project or a heavy workload, we fall back on procrastination mode and just pretend it's not on our to-do list. To keep yourself on track and organised, break up that big project into smaller, more manageable tasks.

5. Put Everything Away as Soon as its Finished

Of course, it may not be realistic to expect you to put everything in its place the second you get to work or the moment you walk in the door but making a conscious effort to do this as much as you can will make a huge difference in how organised everything will look -- and how much better you'll feel.
